EPCOT Spring Flower & Garden Show!!
March 18 - May 31, 2009
BioHaven Floating Islands and FISE are featured at EPCOT’s Spring Flower & Garden Show this year which began on March 18 and runs through May 31!! FISE and Disney/EPCOT launched islands featuring native flowers as a key water feature and to demonstrate BioHaven Floating Islands as a beautification and environmental best practice. We produced the islands in January and shipped them to Disney in early February so they could plant them behind the scenes. The islands had about 6 weeks for the plants to mature and in early March they were towed into place over night – like magic!

Old Chatham Golf Club Island Launch
Old Chatham Golf Club launched a BioHaven Floating Island to promote swan nesting while reducing nutrients on one of their golf course ponds. Within a couple of weeks the swans were using the island.
